Day 1
Siliguri to Darjeeling 77km approx
- Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / NJP Rail Station / Tenjing Norgay Bus Terminus at Siliguri Junction.
- Guests are welcomed and transferred to Darjeeling. Journey to Darjeeling is nearly 3 hours drive from Siliguri depending on road condition and traffic. The scenic beauty throughout the journey removes your all fatigue.
- Reach Darjeeling and check in the hotel.
- No sightseeing today. Evening is free for stroll around the town and mall area.
- Early to bed for watching sunrise tomorrow. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 2
Tiger hill and Darjeeling local sightseeing
- Wake up early and prepare yourself to visit Tiger Hill (highest point in the area, 2590 m. / 8482 ft.). Guests can watch there the spectacular view of sunrise and color changing peaks of Kanchenjunga range.
- Returning from there visit Ghoom Monastery, the oldest monastery in this region – Batasia Loop and War Memorial at the centre of the loop garden.
- Back to hotel for refreshment – after refreshment your trip starts with visiting the Botanical Garden, a house of various species of Himalayan plants – from there proceed to Natural History Museum -- next is Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, a high altitude zoo where you find very rare tibetan wolf , snow leopard, red panda, mishmi takin and many species of birds(closed on Thursday) –- adjacent to zoological park , Himalayan Mountaineering Institute ( HMI ) is your next point , HMI is the oldest mountaineering institute in the country – after HMI visit Tenzing Rock – Next move on to Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre(closed on Sunday) and there you watch the making of various Handicraft by Tibetan people. Your sightseeing ends in Bhutia Busty Tibetan Monastery
- Evening is free for shopping and strolls around the town. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 3
Mirik tour and departure to Siliguri
- Post breakfast check out from hotel and set out for Mirik.
- Mirik is 45 km. away from Darjeeling. Mirik is a small town on the bank of Lake Sumendu.
- Your activities are - boating on the lake, strolling around the lake, take a horse ride beside the lake. Lunch at Mirik(optional).
- Drive straight to airport / NJP / Siliguri Junction, on the way a little halt at Fuguri tea garden view point.
- End of your journey. Wishing you a happy forwarding journey.
